MySQL, Solr

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system. Its name is a combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter, and "SQL".

AWS Cloud

Azure Cloud Services is an example of a platform as a service (PaaS). Like Azure App Service, this technology is designed to support applications that are scalable, reliable, and inexpensive to operate.

Key Challenges

Integrating events with Google maps and showing our data on the map.
Sophisticated search and narrowing down event results on the basis of date, time, location, interest, people, and much more.

Solution

Used Angular framework to accommodate complex frontend architecture and deep integration of Google maps.
Used Solr for supporting multi-level indexing to extensive searching.
